April - April is SUCH a ray of sunshine! We are so proud of all her work and dedication throughout the program. While April was a star student in the room, she was also a star parent and self-advocate outside of the classroom. April has accepted a position at the Food Lion Carthage (thank you for working with us!) and is excited to start training soon! April has also started a fundraising plan with Families Count to restore her family home in Carthage to working order starting with the electric. Big THANK YOU to Robert Cain with Cain Electric Solutions for being a community supporter in that! April is looking forward to employment and family and then giving back through ministry projects at her new congregation at Grace Church, Carthage.
Sweet Samantha - Samantha has completed the Families Count curriculum too! And boy has the Lord trully been working in her life. Samantha has gained the confidence she needed to change her path for her and her babies and is going to redeem herself in God's amazing grace. We are so excited to have her seek further assistance with her recovery and family's reunification. Families Count is now working with The Falcon House to get her to safe housing and assisstance with her babies TODAY! This is a day that the LORD HAS MADE! This miracle is sure to bring saving grace not only to Samantha, but start a blossoming future for her family and spark hope for other struggling members of our community as well.

It has been SUCH an honor getting to know Jess and Sean Dowd as they take on this HUGE role in our new ministry. Co-Leaders for Families Count are the trained and certified teachers that jump in the front line and do the MOST when it comes time for class.  Jess and Sean have been working hard to prepare each week's lesson and plan activities and special ways to reach our parents in need here at Families Count. They bring smiles each week and have already left a HUGE impact on our students in just a few short weeks. Thank you so much for being a part of this ministry - you and your whole family are a blessing to this ministry and this community!

​Families Count started at The Village Chapel Pinehurst this week! We were happy to have so many ready and willing to serve and minister and get this amazing service started! If you know any struggling families that would benefit from a Christian-based parenting program, please refer them to me! Our parenting course starts with and takes pride in offering participants a meal with every class while teaching the value of sharing a meal with family.
